Test design in different browsers

Code:
http://browsershots.org/
enter your web adress and get back screenshots how your site looks in windows/linux/mac browsers.

How about migration to IE7?
My Windows Update did it automatic so I now am not able to test my websites in IE6.
Do someone have any ideas how to run them both on one machine?

Hi there folks.

Microsoft published a VirualPC-Image with IE6 installed on it.
Its a heavy weight download of 500MB and you need a (also free downloadable) copy of VirtualPC.

Info on this issue in general and download links here:
Code:
http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/archive/2006/11/30/ie6-and-ie7-running-on-a-single-machine.aspx

Another choice would be "Multible_IEs", sort of a utility that helps you install IE5/6 as standalone-versions next to IE7 installed natively on the same local system.

Code:
http://tredosoft.com/Multiple_IE

Whoever wants to test online, here is another project:
Code:
http://www.browserpool.de
Thye dont send only screenshots like 'browsershots', but you can test live and online, running a local client for a remote system. This is better than screenshots for navigation-issues. You can log in free 10 times in 14days, otherwise they want some money.

I can recommend them, because they have all browsers since Win95.
And when my testing time expires, ... I just open a new free-account.
