Question CPU performance with flash animation ok?

Hi....

I am doing a redesign of a little website by now.
So i came over some performance problems of users, the flash of the intro seems to be to massive using the cpu...

I like to have some comments from users here.
Please visit the site (only the first site with intro and background animation)
and tell me the performance of the animation and if the "come in" button works without bigger problems.

Please only comments about the performance.
I will be happy if you can add infos about your CPU and speed.

Thanks in advance...
Jenny :-)

I'd say the big spinning vector is eating the bandwidth because of the transparency.
just give it a try without the transparency first to check if this is it. movement + transparency is not a good association.
let me know

I tested the background animation without transparence... and i wonder... its eating up to 10% MORE cpu performance then without transparence...

weird, what version of flash do you use ? We've noticed some differencies btw flash 8 and cs3 regarding png's. Also some big differencies while exporting in flash 6 to 8, sometimes we've had for the same swf up to +-5ko

I do not use flash itself, i am using SwishMax 2.
Exporting as swf V9, not using pngs...

ok I dunno exactly how swish works but since you've used it for the entire flash I guess the problems comes from something that loads the cpu and it seems that this is when the flourishes are spinning, the only thing I see moving at the same time that I didn't saw last time is the naomy text scaling up with transparencies too. is it editable text or is it rasterized cos everything like editable texts, complicated vectors and images are cpu eaters when you apply alpha and or movement. I know this is a pain but you should try disabling one at a time and check your cpu to hunt down the problem.
I don't use swishmax so I can't help with the source sorry :(
anyway let me know if you solve the problem. good luck.

I tested the ani on an old 800mhz PIII, its running, not smooth but its running so that i am able to click on the "come in" button. So problem is not really bad.
Everyone today should have 800mhz or more i think ;-)
