Smile Encoding H264?

Hey all, was just wondering if anyone know how to make files using the h264 codec.

This is a very good codec, great quality even better size.

If some one can tell me how to do it, then we can use it to shrink down the size of the tutorials, which means less time downloading more time learning, which is a bonus for all.

So does anyone know how to convert say an AVI using the h264 codec?

Thanks

you can do it in quicktime pro..although be aware that h246 can wash out the color at times in my experience.

Also keep in mind that h264 is better than DivX avi files IF you're starting from the same high quality file (like a HD movie or DVD quality). If you're starting from a DiVX avi file, you won't notice all that much difference since you're already starting from a highly compressed file with a fairly low bitrate.

Hi:

I tried both H.264 and Divx but see no difference in quality. One thing I like about H.264 is a bit smaller in size than Divx
