Saphire plugins flicker after rendering

Hi

A couple days ago, I edited a home video with Adobe Premiere Pro. At the beginning of the video, I inserted two 10 seconds titles in a row. Noting fancy, just the name of the video with no background (black). I did this several time and never had problem before. But this time, I applied some video effect with two saphire plugins. One was "Glow Rainbow" and the other for the other title was call, I think, "Puddle". Everything was working fine in Premiere and I rendered the video using MPEG Concept in MPEG2 with 2 pass VBR, average of 6.2 Mb/s, bottom field first. However, the final m2v file has something wrong. The two titles play with the video effect but flicker like those old Chalie Chaplin movie. As soon as the titles are over (20 seconds) everything is fine and no more flickering. As a test, I remove the last part of the movie and kept only the two titles plus about 5 seconds of the movie (faster rendering). Every thing worked perfectly with no flickering. All right then, I did the rendering of the whole movie again (something like a four hours process). The problem came back as before, flickering of the title were the saphire plugins are applied. The problem is not the player of the final product (MPEG2 file) because I tried several of them with the same result. When I render the project without the saphire plugin applied, everything works fine.

Does anybody have any idea why the saphire plugins make the video flicker after rendering and is there anyway to solve the problem?

I never had such a problem, and I used Sapphire plugins a lot.

I would render the final movie as uncompressed avi. Then you can encode to mpeg2 at the desired rate.

I've only encountered this problem with AfterEffects when I had Nucleo (not Pro) running and it was fine after disabling it. But I see you're using Premiere so that's a different case entirely. Could it have anything to do with your source being interlaced? Does it still happen if you de-interlace, apply sapphire, and re-interlace it using re:vision fieldskit or some such plugin?

Problem solved. It took me a lot of work and time but I solved the problem. It had nothing to do with the saphire plugin after all. About an hour into the project, I had inserted a Canopus VideoFX transition. I installed this about a year ago but I don't remember ever using it until last week. Once I removed the Canopus transition from the project it rendered perfectly. I also realized that the Canopus transition not only made the titles flickered, it also made the whole movie jurky (a bit like the old super 8 home videos). A simple two seconds transition an hour into the movie caused all this problem. Thanks to every one.
