Satya Jyoti, what is your budget? I currently have an FX1400 on a Core 2 Duo E6600 with 2GB DDR2 667, the system is overclocked to 310FSB and it really rocks. Although when i create a big scene in Maya with lots of geometry you can see the card limiting and navigating in the scene can get pretty uncomfortable with some flickering.
If you have the budget i would recommend to go with FX1500 or above. I have access to an HP XW93000 workstation (dual opterons 270) with an FX 3450 and another one with an FX 4500 and you can really see the difference on large scenes, in comparison with my little 1400. Especially the 4500 is a beast. I didn't manage to stress it enough yet. But those cards are way more expensive than mine.
But whatever happens do not go with anything lower than a 1400.
Btw are the maxtreme drivers workning with Maya? :)
nope cgartist bro...the maxtreme drivers are not working for maya,as well as max 64 bit...we need to wait a little longer...
and satya jyothi,as u an indian,i will say u da price in rupees as me to one..it varies bro..it starts of from say around 20 k to 50k..so it depends which one u can afford...and ya it does make a significant inprovement....

In the search for a cheap quadro 4500 I could find very different offers. I don't remember the addresses, but there were two or three websites that were almost at half the price than the official price list. I gave these addresses to my computer supplier, and a week later he ordered one that was only 60% of the original price, and he even gave me 10% to the entire system, so I did not pay astronomical sums for my new workstation.
I'm not very good in commerce, but an extensive search in the internet for the best offer can save some money.
