Nero is making my CPU work very hard

Hi,

I just installed Nero 8 ultimate and it seems to work fine.
But now something really strange is going on.

When my computer sits for a few minutes and my monitor shuts off (this is normal). Something starts to make my CPU work at 50% or higher.
And when I move my mouse to make the monitor turn on again. The CPU goes back down to idle where it should be.
It never did this before that's why I'm blaming Nero.

Has anyone had this kind of behavior happen after installing Nero?
Or how to stop this from happening?

Thanks.

Nero Scout and the other crap is making life of a Pc hard. if you use the mini edition you are much better... all I want from nero is to burn my disks and nothing else... so here it works fine all the years now. but when you install nero you have to use the custom setu p and uncheck everything exept the codecs and the burning software...

Thanks,

I un-installed it and switched to using Ashampoo burning studio. And the problem went away.

The next time I install Nero I'll try your advice.

and oh yeah I forgot... you should disable the windows burn service... it always is in concurrence with nero... and many other burning programs lol
