Help installing RendermanStudio

Hi,

I'm having no luck getting Renderman Studio13.5.2 to run.

I'm installing the server software and the version for Maya2008. And I followed the crack instructions to the letter. But when I try to enable the Renderman Plug-in option in Maya. It crashes.

If I try to run one of the studio presets "Alfred","It","Nimby","Slim". It gives me an error like this "License Problem: 10061 Connection refused,no Server?"

I've made sure that the service is running by checking it in the services list. And it says it's started.
The only questionable thing I had to deal with during the installation process was what to put in the "Host" Field of the keygen. So I used localhost.
When that didn't work. I wiped everything off the computer and tried it again using the computer name listed in the system properties. But that didn't work either.

I know this is probably a long shot.
But has anyone successfully installed Renderman Studio with the H-Force KeyGen?

Any Ideas?

I never managed to run it either. Sounds like you've done everything right.

sounds as if you have installed it to seek for a network server... I don't use Maya nor renderman studio... but it sounds as if you would have to set a server IP to 127.0.0.1 and it will run... just can't really help you.

In my case , I load plugin that I want to use.
If you want to use RfM pro just check RfM only or want to use mtor (maya to renderman) check mtor only. If you load all in the same time it will crash maya, coz it used the same slim engine.

hope this helps.

I wish it was that simple artslan.

I can only select one of the plug-in boxes before it generates the no license error then it crashes.
I can't even launch the studio presets outside of Maya.
So I'm pretty sure it's not installed right.

Do you have any tips for installing it?
Do you use the H-Force crack?
Maybe I need to try a different crack from someone else?
