How do we make use of the files that end in rar.001, rar.002 ect?

I found this post and was wondering when I open this it says unexpected ending to file. Can somebody tell me how to properly rename this? Err how do i unpack it?

First of all code your links. Use the [#] button when posting links.
Now, those files are splited. You can use Total Commander to join them back using the command File->Combine Files.
Or you can use the HJSplit application to rejoin the files back to original which in your case will be a big file with the extension .rar
