The upgrade worked fine here - I think you just have to be careful not to run the software before it's patched.

Use a firewall on a PC, Little Snitch on a Mac.

I got the old version back on the computer but whatever I do it continues to say that the serial is pirated. I even tried on the laptop, just no to mess up the computer.
