Smile Adobe aftr effects need graphics card?

can any of the friends here tell me does adobe after effects need graphics card,if it need means can i go for 256mb of graphics card.and also does inbuilt graphics card in my intel d101ggc is enough.also my system configuration is ,i have 2gb of ram and pentium d 3.40ghz(dual core is enough for after effects running?thanks in advance!!!

Not necessarily but it would help to improve the redrawing in the screen. an nvidia geforce would suffice.

If you want to enable OpenGL in AE.....

Make sure that the display card meets the minimum requirements for OpenGL support.

For OpenGL to operate in After Effects , the display card must use OpenGL 1.5 or later and have a minimum of 64 MB installed video RAM (VRAM).
To get the full benefit from OpenGL in After Effects, your card must use OpenGL 2.0 or later, have Shader support, and support for NPOT (Non Power of Two) textures.
OpenGL support prior to OpenGL 1.1 on Mac OS X, and 1.3 on Windows, causes After Effects to disable OpenGL features.
