Installing vray twice on same machine?

I currently have vray installed in Max9 and I wanna try installing it in 2009version. Is it possible without having to uninstall vray on Max 9. I dont wanna uninstall then try installing in 2009 and not have it work properly.

Thanks,

to my knowledge, this is not possible on the same OS. On a different OS, yes. Having multiple OS isn't a bad idea anyway in my opinion. It gives you a bit of more work with installations, but in the end you are much more flexible.

if you have 2 or more versions of max you don't need 2 OS.
just point the installer of vray to the version you want to install vray in.

hm, I tried this, but it did not work. I can only have one vray on one OS. Fine if it works for you :)

usually the server key works for all releases, the only invonvenience is to ppoint the installation to the other application yes. I haven't found a solution myself yet.

I had Max 8 and Max 9 installed in the same time, both with VRay... So I guess the answer is yes - I am just not sure what can be the problem in your case.
