Don't worry too much about buying software if you ask me, never heard of anyone busting anyone for illegal copies, and have even seen animation houses use unreleased plugs that is obvious in the final render, and get away with it. But that's my experience, and in a slightly different field (3d).
The biggest thing for me is to remember a timely delivery of the product is much more important than polishing the last 2% or so.. many people don't think that way, especially when starting out.

Good luck!
This is extremely important...even if the work is good but it's late, the client will view/receive it with a negative point of view. It's always an uphill battle from then on out to please and meet their expectations. Never miss deadlines. Don't overestimate your abilities so that you're rushing like mad at the end. Always give yourself some breathing room.
I have a plan on my own design company too, but I don't have any certificate or design degree. I've been learning about design and concept through the internet. And I can do some (few) raster/vector design.
What i wanted to ask, would it be nice to offer a services based on portofolio only ? How effective is it ?
Thanks for the comment everyone..

Reason: typo
All of you, who consider to work as a freelancer or starting your own design agency, please be aware that working for your own means to work more or less 24/7. In addition you'll never be able to plan because your current project can be the last for a long time. You have to spend so much time with things which have nothing to do with design. And if a client doesn't pay for a big project, no matter if this is your fault or not, you'll face hard times.
hm... about clients who doesn't pay after i did their work, my little solution would be ask the client to pay a sum of money first, and pay the rest of the money when the work is finished.
