Question about Rhino

I have modeled a figure in Rhino 4. This there a way to make it's joints connect and move? If not, what program would I want to take my model into to give it a movable "skeleton" to say....?

I am very new to 3D modeling....have spent most of my time on 2D artwork.

Hi krosbonez =)

You'd need to bring it into an animation application like
Maya, 3DS Max, XSI or Lightwave etc. There you will
find different kinds of skeleton types depending on
what character you have created.

:)

Or Cinema 4D! This app is not as convulated (imho) as the others and more user friendly. You can always make the transition to the other apps later. The other app I would rec. is XSI.

btw... there's a BIG problem with Rhino whyle exporting meshes (and when you'll export - your model'll turn into meshes) -> it makes them completely triangled... There's a small solution for that (but not even in 50% it's worked but...) you can use built-in command in T-Spline plug-in "!_tsMesh" (Mesh T-Spline button) with turned tolerance to 0, adjusted tolerance to your needs... It helpes sometime. And it's REALLY useful when exporting model created in T-Spline - no triangles at all... :)
