3D modell nood questions ..

Hi all,

i´m afraid i´m a total newbie as far as 3D models are concerned, but i´m curious what it´s all about those human 3d render models on the gfxworld site ... i see lots of downloadable 3D models like:
Athena for V3
Kayleigh for V4
Meooow! V4
etc...
what the hell is that? What do i need to view those? What is V3 and V4? 3D modelling programs?
Is there a site that teaches the basics of this all?

You'll find these are models for various versions of Poser - mainly 4.

Log onto the Daz3D website (Google it) and you'll see all the content available.

Some things are free, and some you have to pay for.

But there's some good work in there and the people creating this content need your financial support!
