Sorry to be so negative, but I've had the honour (if you can call it that) of downloading a couple of the AutoCAD free tutorials from this site and they were awful. The sound was so bad and the guy seemed to be as new to the program as everyone else.

Maybe it was just the AutoCAD stuff but I'd try one first before you go ahead and grab a load of them.

Then I guess they are free and that usually means something has been sacrificed I guess.

well I think he made a seminary or two and was planning to make a business in selling tutorials. Probably he recognized himself that he cannot compete with the others and therefore decided to give them for free.
He is rather slow (well I'm not faster) and sometimes not very concentrated, so it is definitely worthless for advanced students. But his slow tempo and his errors that he did not cut out of the videos makes it a good source for beginners. It's still interesting to see make him errors and correcting them, they may be the same errors we do or we did once. And in the end of a tutorial you still have a more or less finished result, and maybe learned one or two things.

As long as he gives them for free, I find it very sympathic. And his next series of tutorials (if he does some) could be more challenging.
