Unhappy Modeling an Eye

Ironic for some, as you'd think an ear would pose a more difficult feat. But no, for me, it's the proverbial 'windows to the soul' that are driving me crazy. Everything from choosing the correct size of eyeball, to modeling the eye socket and eyelids are driving me crazy.

Does anyone know of a good tutorial that covers how to create an eye? The Joan of Arc tutorial, while extensive, doesn't go into the details of actually creating the eye (size of sphere for eyeball, positioning the eyelids over the eyeball, etc.).
