Kernel Panic 0n games under 10.5.7

Since some time ago I am getting the almost immediate kernel panic gray screen/restart request when trying to play any heavy games, like Sims 3 or COD 4. They are starting up, but after the logoand few more moments it is happening....

What could be the reason?

I am on Mac Pro, 2 x 2.8 QuadCore Xeon, 6 Gb RAM
