Hello guys,i recently visited the
broadcast show in india....
so me coming with a review of it...
basically it was an audio and visual exhibition....
but was spellbounded by the
IT people who were scattered all round the exhibition...
i was lucky to have a glimse of boxxtech pcs, as well has the new mac workstation with the latest xeon cores, and some from intel's backyard..but what caught my attention was an offical amd partner named
EXFINITY..
they had for display 2 workstation and 1 render boxx.
all of the 3 were power monsters....
The 1st workstation basically targeted at newbies was a model named
extreme
it is powered by a dual amd opteron and it has 4gb ram with a quadro 1400 card...a stable and fast workstation for all gfx guys to start of with....
The second one and which was my fav named
binary
it was powered by 2 dual amd opteron 2000 series with 2 gb of ram and an quadro 3500(it rounds upto 4 cores running at say about 2.60 ghz)i call it a semi renderboxx too coz of its 4 cores...
And the last was the
quartus the render box
The icing on the cake...
it had four dual opteron processors from the 8000 series...
(it has 8 cores ,say about 1 core running at about 2.40 ghz and it supports upto 124 gb of ram..)
i compared the prices with the boxxtech ones...
it were a hell lot cheaper than the boxx workstation with perfomance on par.
i would suggest u all to visit their website....
as i found it cool..they have all the specifications as well as the prices listed..so do check it..it is
And ya my next workstation gona be assembled by them
posted some pics which i clicked there..(sorry for the size of the pics, had to rescale them so that it fits the 39 kb mark:)
enjoy guys.....
cheers.
