HOLOMATRIX real time rendering for MAYA - MAX

HOLOMATRIX is a company that developed a new ray tracing real time rendering engine.

The product name is called RENDITION and is a standalone application that is plugged into MAYA and MAX.

When you are modeling, or applying materials in your scene in a separate window you will see immediately the results in a fraction of time.

You can also change the camera in real time and see the rendering progressive.

The software is in beta stage and you are free to download and experiment for 30 days.

In Ray tracing preferences dialog has options to enable/disable the following:
Texture Maps
Final Gather
Caustics
Global Illumination
Environment Reflections
Ray trace Reflections
Specular
Lights

You render scenes in Mental Ray in a snap.
I tested in my machine P4 3.2GHz a scene which in mental ray took 2:00 minutes and in rendition window 1:15.

Rendition is working in background and the results are shown in a fraction of time. Imagine how the time is reduced in multi-core processors.

Here the links to download:

Too bad the result isn`t the same as when i used mental ray exclusively, some shading effect is missing. And if i render the result high-res wise, it`s take roughly the same as mental ray, sometimes its even slower. it`s good for previewing, but not for serious work. If only mental images create his own real-time preview for mental ray, it would be great.
...wait, isn`t that the feature autodesk is promising in it`s bad-mouthed 3dsmax2009?
