3D Architectural Modeling Process

I found this file a few years ago and I swear by it. It certainly focuses the mind and helps keep you concentrated on where you're at in the sometimes complicated modeling process!

Hope you find this as useful as I have.

Thanks for the help... I'm just starting back into 3D modeling and the toolsets have changed dramatically since I used to do this so it will be a good reminder on the basics of modeling.

wow

thanx alot ...3dmodeling for architcts is very crucial ... you don?t have to build everything....mainly just the fassades and the sourroundings.... for exterior view.... make 2dshapes in acad import extrude templates and build up your model.. taht#s it .... do some vegetation, flowers, pretty people and a lot of moving cars....

I thimk that modeling is just 30% of the work 20% is mapping and 20% render settings..the last 30% are mainly photoshopping ... bringing the picture into live with objects ....

interesting method, but since i'm quite used to direct plan to model thing, that workflowchart only help when i have enourmous modelling and animation set...

and i'm quite agree with kingking, except that when we have to animate the scene, sometimes 2d object on 3D going to look funny, so we still have to build until certain extent...

but anyway thanks for sharing i find it quite usefull...

I agree 100% but...when you're new at the whole 3D thang, having only done it on paper before, something like this flowchart (can be) a lifesaver.

Hey! Hope all you people added to my reputation!!

Thanx for the kind wurdz
