you all know how annoying this old shoutbox was... now there is some way better here added for you. members can use the full functions, newbies will only have read access.
this one allows you to send pm's for instance...

same will happen when you click on a users name that is active in the shoutbox (not the ones that are shown with the "who has posted" service]... a new tab will open for a private chat =)
oh yes there is some stuff for moderators:
