Parfume

Hello folks!

Here is my first test with vray,
the first image (more small) using caustics and hdri reflections. The second only with caustics. Actually i have a very long rendering time, too much light at the base of the bottle (for me) but i am working on this.

I wait your comments.

best regard

that's very nice, are you using lightcache/IRRmap for your gi?.. it looks a little splotchy... usually that is from low GI samples in either your lightcache or IRR map settings..

hard to tell with the jpg compresion artifacts... can you post a full quality one on imageshack? =P

btw, the bottle model and texturing is perfect

Hi enslaver, i used irr. map for primary bounce and quasi montecarlo per secondary (both in default value). Here there's an another image in good quality jpg

Click the image to open in full size.

Btw i have high rendering times and i ma trying to use some tricks to decrease it. Do you have some tips in this direction?

Thank you for comments

does your light have "store with irradiance map" ticked?.. for final render you should really not have that ticked, it is quicker however... and less noise

is it an omni light? vray plane/sphere/dome?

I don't know if there is really alot you can do to speed it up, if you want quality you have wait the time... i think most of the time is coming from the bottle materials, which you can't really change to make it quicker if you want quality

I't a vray plane and store with irradiance in unticked (not checked).. and yes ..bottle need a lot of computing time instead of the cap. Btw i noticed that with caustics the bottom part of the glass come very realistic becasue the light concentrate giving a real aspect.. but obviously caustics increase rendering time..
Asap i will give some camera dof with caustics and i will post a render.

See ya
