Most of the improvements have been made to Character animation and the UI, which is why I'm waiting before I upgrade. The one thing I wanted is for Cinema to improve thier modeling tools, but oh well maybe 10.5 will surpise me.

There's something about AR 2.6:
- firstly (but this is a personal opinion) it seems a bit faster to me, even on my old P IV 2.6
- the Pyrocluster now should get benefits of the hardware, it should be much faster

There's quite a thread going about that as well as other points in the Cinema forum at CGTalk.

The new rendering capabilities are quite cool. The new IRR is so neat, I cought myself playing around with that region for over an hour because its so responsive.

And the renderer is 10-30% faster (though it feels like more) depending on what you are rendering. Interestingly the 30% mark rather happens with more complex scenes and the 10% with less complexity.

For cinema 4d you need all new modules! They become speziel for 40. - adapted to the version.the only really new is OpenGL and Mocca plus which one Bodypaint in addition gets now. But I have now already zbrush and modo.that is not worth a upgrade from 606 dollar (9.6 XL to 10 XL) I sell now my Cinema 4d XL 9.6.

what are you talking about?

render speed is the same as 9.6 i did multipl test scene come in within a few seconds of each other.

that pyrocluster thing seems interesting.

the active region seems cool though. Noth bothered playing with it more though as i can't save.

Got this neat idea on how to crack the demo though. What if a plug-in is written that alows you to export as c4d? or sniper pro is modified to render full quality stuff.
Do plug-ins work in the demo?

Cheers,
