its alot like zbrush except no painting..the software is alot more fun to use and Easier to learn And faster..., takes like an hour and you know the whole program, whereas zbrush can take months :)
hmm I had a go, but it was still fairly unstable - it's had some pretty great reviews by folk though - it's definitely one to watch - it sounds like it's basically zbrush in 3d
not tried it, but u can find info and appreciation about the software by beta testers , supposed to be very good and definitely trying to compete with zbrush
Well it's essentially a Z-brush in 3d - it's geared heavily towards 3d organics sculpting - it's pretty cool - but I'd wait a while - it's still pretty unstable...
yeah it's a pretty promising program - like zbrush in 3d - but I'd wait a few months - it's pretty unstable still as it's fairly early in its development.
Can't agree on the unstable part. I've clocked more hours in the Mudbox beta than I care to count, and in my experience it's a very stable beta. I think it will crash mainly if you use bad base mesh to work from.
We all have different systems and configurations, though, so people's experiences are bound to differ. Personally I wouldn't hesitate to use it in a production environment at this stage. Several studios already do.
seems pretty fast too, unfortunately it doesn't have texture painting... let's see if it sees the light before zbrush 2.5 ... might want to check silo 2.0, it seems to have some nice brush sculpting capabilities
I tried mudbox, its really very fast for organic modeling. It has so many good things that zbrush don't have, but some features of mudbox are coming in zbrush 2.5
