Maya

Maya is my new program of choice, im starting to learn.

I've used c4d before, and ehh i never got that good.
and im also using Zbrush for detailing and PS for some touchups and effects.

I hope to get good soon, what do you'll think of Maya?

I think that a jump from Cinema to Maya is a huge jump and I hope you will be able to handle that
I don't need everything that Maya offers, so in my opinion it is too much, but if you can make it work for you then you will love it

I also started with cinema 4d and then switched to maya. Maya has so many more options, but if you understand the principles then you can work with any kind off program.

Ones you get the hang of 3d concepts its not that big a deal to jump from one package to another you just need to learn the UI. And c4d isn’t exactly a beginner app so jumping to maya shouldn’t be that tough. I think modeling, rigging, animation, etc should be easier in maya but texturing lighting etc in maya would take a bit getting used to tho
