By setup i mean the CDs/dvd or the installation files.. I noticed you mentioned that you dont have the ISO.. so how are you going to install max again?

Hang on .. umm do you have any service pack added? Max sp3 or anything?

I cleaned the Registry, uninstalled & reinstalled 3dsmax 8, but when I try to start this sign appears!!
Damn!

hi again.. In an old message I sent you the newest version of the dll file.. download that file and replae the one you have on your computer..


EDIT: http://www.anonym.to/?http://rapidsh...cge16.rar.html

And place it in the system32 folder instead of the autodesk common files folder..

hope this helps.. (You may need to register the dll.. >> regsvr32 ...)

Copy the file to the System32 directory.. open a command window and type this Regsvr32.exe acge16.dll
You will get a message box telling you whether it is registered or not..
BTW, I am not sure you need to register at all.. just put it in the system 32 folder.. it should work

Oh!
I thought it was fixed, but when I open now this sign appears!
I go to stdplugins folder and the file is there!
the same sign appears for different *.dlly "failing to iniicialize"
What now?
