This is a photo of my son overlooking NYC's ground zero. I used a program called HDRI shop to give it an HDR look. I also replaced the sky. Any critical feedback appreciated. Thanks!
Hi there, I like this image a lot. Would be cool to see a huge print of it hanging in a gallery or something! The only distracting thing is the harsh transition where the skyline meets the cityscape (You know what, when I think about it, I actually like the sort of cut/paste look of the city on the sky because it has a dream like effect). The sky is great and it would be nice if some of the colors from that were brought into the rest of the image more.
interesting work...but I also think that foreground part of the picture looks unnatural ...you should maybe just put some of the background colors in shadowz of the foreground..
"HDRI shop" must have messed with the colors somewhere :) I mean, I don't see any "HDR look" in this photo. Everything is quite blurred and colors are way to flashy ! I like the style though
If you are a pro then it's a poor quality of work. but if you are a newbie then it's a fine piece of art. But certainly it has nothing to do with HDRI quality. The conversion just made the picture too blurred to be good.
well what's a HDR look anyway? 32 bit makes an image not look better. I don't get it, but the image is not bad, it has a strange look you don't see everyday.
nice comparison. But the source IS a 32-bit file in your example. What do you do when you have an 8-bit source like in the artwork form ballistical? This is what I don't understand.
