before&after -> drawing USB Flash in Illustrator

Client want to put in printed ad USB Flash memory stick, but the only image he had was from his Internet shop and I didn't have time to drive at his office to take a pictures so I redraw it.
40min work in Illustrator.

Looks great to me. Illustrators gradient mesh tool proofes to be the No.1 3D faker.

Instead of posting wireframe shots, you could post some outlines to let us see it is not a real model. Yeah!!!

impressive. 40 minutes, that's top.

I'm just starting with Illustrator, still struggling with the tools and the alt/shift/ctrl keys.

actually I would draw it faster, but I didn't "get" a small timesaver when start to draw: there is a ragged blue element around the main white object. I start to draw a ragged line but I should just draw one piece then copy as much times as I need...

there is no gradient mesh used!
It's all made from simple gradients but the shadow is just a gray eclipse blurred with filter.
