Traditional/Digital 2d animation way or full on digital 2d animation?

Now, I've thrown this question back and fourth with my cohearts..

I preferably use the traditional and digital approach scanning pgs and pgs of work and then animating it in flash..

But its Become tedious..

I'm thinking i should go full on wacom tablet but im having a prob with the learning curve...

suggestions?
