These developer are nuts
CS4.. Max 2009.. and it's still late February of 2008!
Man.. I miss the old days where a major version is released like above 2 years, not every single year like right now.
The faster they release new major version, the more bugs, the less code (programming) optimization, and the more useless features.

Things to ponder.. if you were really buying this (i.e. Adobe CS) legally, how much money would you have to spend each year to keep up with the upgrade? Sure that nobody forces you to buy the upgrade.
But if you didn't, then like 2 major version later, your old one most likely would be obsolete, a.k.a. can't be upgradeable, thus you'd have to buy the upgrade at the price of a new user.

100% agree with u

at lest they should make an update to fix the problem of installing two cs3 components with each other

i think that the new version if they are going to release it so quick like that it will be full of problems

Yeah that is just as it is... they bring in more and more features and no one will know where to find them... see 3dsmax... it has too many features already and they bring in more and more. Thing is, that every second realease will bring with it, that you can't open the files with a previous version... so if you work in teams you are forced to get the newest programs :(

Well, to be honest, my old progras work as good as the new ones... if not better, 'cause they will cause a lot less work for the processor. However, it iwll go on this way, I guess.

Nice future huh?

well i think they are releasing new softwares first of all to fix their bugs and improvie it but i think also for example if u buy CS3 they need to make something like small or half of the price of CS4 to make an update if u already have CS3 but lets see what they will do :)

CS3 still works perfect for me

I don't see any new exciting features in Photoshop since several versions back... it has been a cash cow for Adobe and now they're just milking it year after year without any interesting update... They might as well turn it into a 2D/3D do-it-all app from CS4 on.

Nevertheless, I would like to see some memory management improvement, and the ability to use more than 3.xxGB of memory will be nice.
