Question Photoshop Action Advice

I have used photoshop for years, but am just now really getting deeper into photo manipulation using it. Lately I have been on an Action adventure, downloading dozens of free actions, and experimenting with them, mostly to delete them, keeping a few.

I really want to start looking at some "premium" ones, and I'm sure I have missed lots of free ones, so I am looking for recommendations. If you have a few favorite sets, or designers of actions, to recommend I would really appreciate you sharing them.

Thanks,

Personally I dislike using actions that I haven't made myself.
I'm always suprised that there are actions for sale, as no-one really needs them if they learn how to manipulate photoshop correctly.
The only real use for an action is perhaps to look at what happens & learn how to do it yourself ?
At least this is how I see it.

I agree..I like learning my way around, but I have to admit that some of the effects I learned thru actions and layer styles (which are my choice to use)

But I have a bunch of actions someone sent me and if you like I will post them
tomorrow morning..I am sorry I dont have time right now..but they will be there by morning for ya
you will find them in the area of the forum where they normally are..ok?
which is under....Stock--->Other

My problem with actions available as free or even as premium is that most of the time they won't work. Just stop prompting that it misses something.
