CTRL Key does not work in Photoshop CS
10:51am Nov 8, 2003 Pacific
This is usually caused by attempting to by-pass activation by applying a 'Crack'.
Remove the crack and correct CTRL Key operation will be restored (But you will need to activate the application).
Should this occur on an 'un-cracked' version it is probable that your keyboard driver needs to be updated. Logitech have updated drivers on their website for Logitech keyboards

the thing about the Ctrl key for "cracked" versions sounds scary. But I doubt it, as when you use a keygen, you have a normal working version as if you had bought it.

About the keyboard: I know of some restriction when you don't have an American keyboard. For example, the much desired tilde key is not present in a German keyboard, so the maximize key-command in After Effects is not possible, which is very unfortunate.

Oh, I just read a small note I made for myself in my Photoshop CS3 setup folder: "Use Adobe.CS3.Master.Collection.Keygen.ZWT.exe. The SSG keygen works also, but it's better to use the master collection keygen."

So, it looks like you had to reinstall the whole thing and use the master keygen.

I'd say, Adobe is going to kill itself if your CTRL key problem is because of using keygen.
It'd mean that Adobe has 2 sets of s/n or activation #, where ones are real ones and the other is to *trap* those who are using keygen. If they were willing to go that far, then their claims of "No personal information is being sent during update check" would be questionable as well

That answer from Adobe forum, even though it's a user to user forum, sounds like from Adobe employee for me
It sounds as if everyone were using logitech keyboard.. lol, and blaming the keyboard manufacturer for the shortcut malfunctioning. If it were because of keyboard driver, then it should be the problem with most application, not just Photoshop CS3.

Anyways, I think if you're going to change from brush to pencil using shortcut, you should use <SHIFT> <B> instead of just <b>

The shortcuts work, but they do not CYCLE between different tools of the same shortcut, like you can choose the pencil, but to cycle to brush, you need to use the shit key.
The ZWT kg works great BTW.
